Our team of coaches come from diverse backgrounds and have a wealth of experience, from therapists, counsellors, teachers and youth workers to BHS qualified equestrian professionals.

We are proud to employ the most enthusiastic and dedicated coaches who genuinely believe in The Seeds of Change ethos and methodology and hold the same values as our organisation. We are all passionate about what we do and know that it changes lives.

Our provision provides rigorous safeguarding and health and safety procedures for learners. All our coaches undergo regular safeguarding training.

Katherine started the Seeds of Change 10 years ago with her business partner Rachael Frossell. A trained counsellor and exceptionally experienced coach, Katherine pioneered the development of our specialist coaching techniques and programmes using the equine facilitated approach. EAGALA trained, Katherine works with our high tariff young people using equine therapy to address their mental health and human development needs. Katherine is extremely passionate about inspiring the young people and adults who come through our doors to make a difference to their lives.

Rachael Frossell

Rachael is Co-Director at the Seeds of Change, working in partnership with Katherine to manage the business and quality elements of the company. With many years’ experience in the corporate sector, Rachael has been instrumental in driving the company towards a steady growth over the last 10 years. Responsible for managing the smooth running of the company, Rachael oversees the quality management, finance, marketing and business development. Through working with schools and local authorities, Rachael has secured numerous contracts to enable more young people to access our provision.

Head of Curriculum and Development

Jemma has a wealth of experience working with Key Stage 1 and 2 children, having over 9 years’ experience working in a primary school setting. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Jemma is an experienced coach specialising in 1 to 1 work, supporting and inspiring our young people to overcome barriers in their lives to excel and achieve their full potential. Jemma is a registered City & Guilds Assessor and holds a degree in teaching, her QTS, and a Level 3 Business Administration qualification. In her spare time, she enjoys netball, horse riding, and days out with family and friends.

Rachel Wiles

Coach and Northants Centre Co-Ordinator

Rachel is a registered City & Guilds coach and assessor. She specialises in City & Guilds group programmes, offering support and guidance to our young people; developing their interpersonal skills, confidence and communication skills using the equine facilitated approach. Rachel is the Acorn Centre Co-ordinator, managing the daily running of the centre and is our Deputy Safeguarding Lead. She holds her UK Coaching Certificate Level 2, and a Level 2 in Health & Safety in the Workplace. Rachel regularly competes her horses in 3 day events and enjoys walking her Border terrier dog.

Lisa Hobbs

Coach and Beds Centre Co-ordinator

Lisa is a highly experienced senior level equestrian; whose specialism is group work using the Seeds of Change approach. A City & Guilds registered coach and assessor, Lisa works across all client age groups and brings inspirational skills in communicating the behaviour of horses and relating this back to human behaviour. Lisa holds her UKCC Level 2, her BHS Assistant Instructor qualification, and is the Education Officer for the BHS Northamptonshire Committee. In her spare time, she likes to walk her boarder terrier dog and enjoys competing in dressage competitions.

Senior Coach

Amy is a highly experienced and effective equine coach. A registered City & Guilds coach and assessor, Amy specialises in re-engagement and City and Guilds group programmes, along with developing and writing our City & Guilds course material. Amy has extensive experience in working with young people with emotional and behavioural issues and is highly effective in supporting them to develop strategies to manage challenging situations using the EFL approach. Amy holds a BSc Hons in Equine and Estate Studies, and in her spare time she is an assistant guide leader.

Samantha Tompkins

Post 16 Co-ordinator

Sam joined the company with a lifelong love and experience of horses and a level 3 qualification in Children and Young Person’s Workforce and Nursery Management.   She is an experienced coach having specialised in one-to-one support work and small group programmes.

Sam is now head of our new post-16 programme, having recognised a gap for our learners with additional needs transitioning from a provision with support into the world of mainstream education or paid employment.  Sam has spent this year building our new programme and working closely with learners to create bespoke packages to support their hopes and build their confidence and aspirations for their future.

Coach and Business Development

Charlie has a wealth of experience working with KS1/2 children, supporting and inspiring them to overcome barriers in their lives to excel and achieve their full potential. Charlie is a registered City & Guilds coach and assessor, and is an experienced coach who is a Rickter Scale Practitioner and Team Teach trained. She holds her UKCC Level 2, Child Protection and Level 5 qualification in Understanding Children’s Behaviour, and has completed training in Working with Hard to Reach and Resistant Clients, Theraplay, and Positive Play Training.

Karl has many years’ experience working with vulnerable young people and adults. He is an experienced coach working with our high tariff young people on a 1 to 1 basis, offering alternative methods of engagement including woodworking, horticulture and environmental skills. Karl is totally unflappable and is highly effective in supporting our young people to develop strategies to manage challenging situations. Karl holds an HND in Documentary Photography, along with Child Protection, Mental Health Awareness, and Peer Mentoring qualifications

Emma Watson

Emma is an experienced equine facilitator who works with our high tariff young people on 1 to 1 basis and small group programmes. Emma is a registered City & Guilds coach who has vast experience in working with young people with emotional and behavioural issues supporting them to build their confidence and social skills. Amongst her achievements, Emma has gained significant success working with a selective mute young person, supporting her through a City & Guilds Diploma. Emma holds her UKCC Level 2 and regularly coaches the Pony Club.

Laura is a highly experienced equestrian whose specialism is group work using the Seeds of Change equine facilitated approach. Laura works across all client age groups and brings inspirational skills in communicating the behaviour of horses and relating this back to human behaviour. Laura is an empathetic coach who offers support to young people with behavioural issues and learning difficulties to build confidence and social skills. Laura holds her BHS stage 3 and her national diploma in horse management.

Mary has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the education sector built from over 15 years’ experience of coaching in various educational contexts. Mary is a highly experienced coach, who is passionate about developing both young people and adults to overcome barriers and to meet their full potential and make the most of their talents. Mary is our Literacy specialist and holds her QTS, DfE Educational Coach certificate and is an NLP practitioner.

Quality and Marketing Coordinator

Jennifer is an skilled marketeer with over 15 years’ experience working across private, public and charity sectors. She oversees the smooth running of The Seeds of Change’s marketing and communications channels and supports the research and development of new business ideas and key messages that enhance our overall offering for learners. She also maintains our quality standards, ensuring that our quality assurance systems and delivery goals are met, and our high standards are maintained throughout all our courses.

Quality Co-ordinator

Rebecca is the City & Guilds Internal Quality Assessor for our Employability Skills and Functional Skills qualifications, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout our programmes. She is responsible for all online and paper exam invigilation, making sure we adhere to the JCQ standards. Rebecca oversees and maintains our IT infrastructure and is the City & Guilds administrator looking after student registrations and qualification results. In her spare time Rebecca is a Brownie leader and loves taking her dogs on long countryside walks.

Accounts & HR

Tracy is a member of the Institute of Certified Book Keepers at Associate grade and is a qualified and experienced book keeper. Tracy is responsible for administering the accounts, invoicing, Payroll and advising on all HR matters at the Seeds of Change. A classic car enthusiast, Tracy owns a Caterham 7 which has appeared on the front cover of the clubs Lowflying magazine, and is a member of the Lotus Seven Club. Tracy enjoys riding her off road quad bike and has recently been on a hovercraft experience day and more recently a Segway rally racing experience.

Administration Assistant

Louise is the Seeds of Change administration assistant, supporting the Directors and coaches with all office administration, course set up, course materials and course logistics. Louise is a highly organised and efficient member of the team; looking after the company’s administration needs and being the central point of contact for referral organisations and schools. Louise is a valued member of the team and in her spare time, she enjoys days out with her family and loves going to the theatre, especially musicals, and eating out with friends.
